Tessa Turner v. Putnam County Board of Education

On December 21, 2010, Jim Tinney and Wes Jarrell filed a complaint on behalf of Tessa Turner, a former student at Hurricane Middle School, against the Putnam County Board of Education. The Complaint alleges that while attending the school, Ms. Turner was repeatedly bullied, harassed and threatened by another student. Both Ms. Turner and her parents repeatedly informed the school of the ongoing bullying and threats, but the school took no action it is alleged.

Ultimately, the other student physically assaulted Ms. Turner, on school property. The assault was captured on video by another student and placed on YouTube. The Plaintiff has alleged negligence on the part of the school authorities and seeks compensation for both physical and emotional injuries.
