After graduating summa cum laude from West Virginia University and obtaining a doctorate of jurisprudence from West Virginia University College of Law, John K. Cecil clerked for the Honorable O.C. Spaulding, Chief Judge for 29^th Circuit in Putnam County, West Virginia. Following his clerkship, John joined The Tinney Law Firm, PLLC.
